Resin Patio Installations in Rugby
Resin paving represents an outstanding choice for patios and pathways throughout Rugby. Available in a wide range of colours, it features a textured grip surface and delivers exceptional durability compared to numerous alternative patio surfacing options.
Our resin surfacing experts have successfully completed hundreds of resin surfaced patio installations and can construct any patio area tailored to your specific requirements in Rugby.
What Is Resin Surfacing?
We combine natural aggregates, typically stone particles measuring between 2-6mm, with clear polyurethane resin before spreading the mixture onto a properly prepared base using trowels. Following the curing process, the result is a solid surface where individual stones remain visible yet firmly bound together, producing an attractive textured finish that offers comfortable underfoot conditions.
The resin bound method is permeable, allowing rainwater to pass through the surface rather than pooling on top. This proves essential for meeting drainage regulations and ensuring practical functionality, preventing puddles from forming after rainfall.
New Resin Patio Installations
For new patio construction, we begin by installing a porous concrete foundation. This delivers the stable base required for resin surfacing whilst maintaining permeability throughout the complete structure.
The depth varies according to intended usage. Patios generally require 100mm of porous concrete along with a suitable sub-base, all constructed with proper gradients for drainage despite the permeable surface.
Resurfacing Existing Patio With Resin
Older concrete patios that remain structurally sound but appear worn make excellent candidates for resin overlay treatments. We meticulously prepare the existing surface, removing dirt, repairing cracks and applying primer to guarantee strong adhesion.
We not only provide exceptional value for resin surfacing, but we also offer alternatives including porcelain tiled patio installations in Rugby, sandstone patios and more.

Summit Driveways have recently installed a new driveway at my property. Rob visited to discuss my requirements and answer any questions that I had. He supplied a detailed quote that was reasonably priced. Given the current hot weather the team were hard working. They arrived promptly and left the site tidy at the end of each day.
